DEBORAH BERKE has been named dean of the Yale School of Architecture, effective July 1. She is an adjunct professor of architecture at Yale and founder of the design firm Deborah Berke Partners in New York. Berke holds two bachelor’s from the Rhode Island School of Design and a master’s from the City University of New York.

DWIGHT C. WATSON has been named provost and vice president for academic and student affairs at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minnesota. He was dean of the College of Education at the University of Northern Iowa. Watson earned an associate from the University of South Carolina Sumter, a bachelor’s and a master’s from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and a doctorate from North Carolina State University.

Fluent in Spanish and English, he has more than 20 years of experience in administrative positions in various industries, from automotive to media. In his spare time, Fuentes is a drummer for a rock band and an airplane pilot. He has three children.
