MILAGROS PEÑA has been appointed dean of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at the University of California, Riverside. She was associate dean for behavioral and social sciences at the University of Florida College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Peña earned a bachelor’s from Iona College in New York, a master’s from the Union Theological Seminary in New York, and a master’s degree and a doctorate from Stony Brook University of the State University of New York.

DAVID M. STEELE-FIGUEREDO has been named president of Woodbury University, effective Nov. 16. He was dean of San Jose State University’s Lucas College & Graduate School of Business. He earned a bachelor’s and a doctorate from Birmingham University in England.

DEBORAH BERKE has been named dean of the Yale School of Architecture, effective July 1. She is an adjunct professor of architecture at Yale and founder of the design firm Deborah Berke Partners in New York. Berke holds two bachelor’s from the Rhode Island School of Design and a master’s from the City University of New York.

DWIGHT C. WATSON has been named provost and vice president for academic and student affairs at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minnesota. He was dean of the College of Education at the University of Northern Iowa. Watson earned an associate from the University of South Carolina Sumter, a bachelor’s and a master’s from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and a doctorate from North Carolina State University.

Andres Fuentes has joined Diverse as Director of Advertising. Fluent in Spanish and English, he has more than 20 years of experience in administrative positions in various industries, from automotive to media. In his spare time, Fuentes is a drummer for a rock band and an airplane pilot. He has three children.

She was director of the Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Research and a professor at the University of Toledo. Najjar earned a bachelor’s and a master’s from San Francisco State University, and a doctorate from Stanford University.

ALICIA JACKSON was named dean of the College of Business at Albany State University in Georgia. She is the former dean of the Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania. Jackson earned a bachelor’s from Knox College in Illinois, an MBA from the University of Michigan and a doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin.
