SHERRI ANN CHARLESTON has been named chief diversity and inclusion officer at Harvard University. Charleston holds a bachelor’s degree in history and African American studies from Columbia University; a master’s degree and Ph.D. in history from the University of Michigan; and a juris doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
