BARBEE OAKES has been appointed chief diversity officer at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), effective September 1. Oakes is chief diversity officer and assistant provost for diversity and inclusion at Wake Forest University. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wake Forest University and a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
