MELVIN HERRING has been named director of the Masters in Social Work program at Johnson C. Smith University, beginning in May 2017. Herring earned a bachelor’s from North Carolina State University, a master’s from University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and a doctorate from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
