KRISTA-NEWKIRKKRISTA NEWKIRK has been named president of Converse College, effective July 1. She is chief of staff for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Newkirk earned a bachelor’s from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a juris doctor from the College of William & Mary.
