JABBAR R. BENNETT

JABBAR R. BENNETT has been named associate provost for diversity and inclusion at Northwestern University and an associate professor of medicine, effective October 1. He is currently associate dean of the Graduate School and associate dean for diversity and director of the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs in the Division of Biology and Medicine at Brown University. Bennett earned a bachelor’s from North Carolina A&T State University and a doctorate from Meharry Medical College.

DANIEL E. MARTÍNEZ has been named director of the the George Washington University’s Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute. He was an assistant professor of sociology in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences at George Washington. Martínez earned a bachelor’s from St. Cloud State University, and two master’s and a doctorate from the University of Arizona.
