The â2006-2007 National Faculty Salary Survey,â released this week by the College and University Professional Association for Human Resource, shows that new ethnic, cultural and gender studies professors posted higher salary gains than professors in other disciplines.

Just the Stats: Higher Education Base Salaries Barely Outpacing Inflation
The College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) released its Administrative Compensation Survey report for 2006-2007. Based on its findings, the median base salary for senior-level administrative jobs increased by 4 percent from 2005-2006 to 2006-2007.

Despite Harvardâs Historic Move, Appointment of Women, Minority President Is Lacking, Says Study
In a historical first, Dr. Drew Gilpin Faust, the dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, has been named the 28th president of Harvard University. According to a press release issued on the universityâs Web site, Faust, a Civil War scholar, was confirmed by the Board of Overseers on Sunday.
