Fisk University, Wal-Mart Heiress Strike Deal on Stieglitz Art Collection
The Fisk University board of trustees approved a deal this week selling the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art a 50 percent interest in the school’s prized Alfred Stieglitz Collection of art and photographs. The price: $30 million.

Durango college trustees slams scheduling of game against Montana
DURANGO Colo. A Fort Lewis College trustee has accused the athletic department of “pigskin prostitution” for scheduling a game against the much larger University of Montana, resulting in a 49-0 drubbing after a 17-hour bus ride.

COLUMBUS Ohio Ohio State gave men’s basketball coach Thad Matta a raise of almost $500,000, boosting his salary to just under $2.5 million a year, and added a year to his contract to extend it through the 2016 season.
