Kalamazoo Promise grads’ first year of college started slow, got better
EDITOR’S NOTE: The Associated Press is following the college careers of two members of Kalamazoo Public Schools’ class of 2006. Stephanie Butler and Alex Plair II were among the first recipients of scholarships provided by The Kalamazoo Promise, an anonymously funded free-tuition program for graduates of the school district beginning that year.
