ELIZABETH G. LOBOA has been appointed dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Missouri, effective October 15. She is a professor of material science and engineering and a director of the Cell Mechanics Laboratory at North Carolina State University. Loboa also is associate chair and a professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the joint program operated by North Carolina State and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned a bachelorās from the University of California, Davis, and a masterās and a doctorate from Stanford University.
