Montrose A. Streeter

Dr. Streeter has more than two decades of higher education leadership experience in student affairs, campus life, enrollment, and academic affairs. Most recently, he was vice president for student affairs at Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Previously, he was associate vice president of campus life and dean of students at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, and assistant dean of students at Kueka College in New York.

“Dr. Streeter is a thoughtful and experienced student affairs leader who understands the importance of supporting students throughout every stage of their college journey,” said Tommy Newton, vice president for enrollment management at Lyon College. “His commitment to student development, collaboration and belonging will strengthen the student experience at Lyon College, and we are excited to welcome him to our community.”

Dr. Streeter studied religion as an undergraduate at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. He holds a graduate degree in education from North Carolina A&T State University and a doctor of education degree in executive leadership from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York.
