Area veterans who are looking for additional training and assistance with job placement can receive help through Pittsburgh Hires Veterans (PHV), an organization that provides veterans with free training and opportunities for future employment.
According to Jack Wagner, director of PHV, the Pittsburgh-based organization assesses veterans and their needs.
“We recommend training or college, or a university, or an employer, where their skill set will match (their needs),” Wagner said. “The veterans are generally goal-oriented.”
