TARA SETHIA has been named the Shri Shantinath Endowed Chair in Ahimsa Studies in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Sethia is a professor of history and the founder of the Ahimsa Center. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Rajasthan University in Jaipur, India and a Ph.D. in history from the University of California, Los Angeles.
