DEIDRE HILL BUTLER has been named director of diversity, equity, and inclusion and academic chief diversity officer at Union College in Schenectady, New York. An associate professor of sociology at Union College, Butler holds a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College in Ohio, a master’s degree from Cornell University and a Ph.D. from Clark University.
