SYLVIA CAREY-BUTLER has been appointed chief diversity officer at Kennesaw State University. She was previously vice chancellor for academic support of inclusive excellence at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Carey-Butler earned a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Oneonta, a master’s degree from Binghamton University and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University.
