MONTSERRAT FUENTES has been named executive vice president and provost at the University of Iowa. She currently serves as dean and professor of statistics at Virginia Commonwealth University. Fuentes received a dual bachelor’s degree from the University of Valladolid in Spain and a Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Chicago.
